1.The United States is suing Google, accusing it of illegally monopolizing the digital advertising market, wants to break up company The US Justice Department and eight states sued Google, calling for the breakup of the search giant’s ad-technology business over alleged monopolisation of the digital ads. Google is the dominant player in the $278.6 billion US digital-ad market, controlling most of the technology used to buy, sell and serve online advertising. The lawsuit is the Biden administration’s first major case challenging one of America’s tech behemoths in this fashion, and marks one of the few times the federal government has called for the breakup of a major company since it dismantled Bell telecom in the 1980s. Google contends the lawsuit is based on a “flawed argument.” Its stock fell 2%.

2.Germany and the United States are expected to send tanks to Ukraine. Der Spiegel reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz agreed to dispatch 14 Leopard 2 tanks and permit other countries to do likewise following weeks of indecision. He is due to speak in parliament today. The U.S. also plans to send M1 Abrams to Kyiv, according to The Wall Street Journal, although it could take months. Poland earlier asked Germany for permission to send German-made Leopards but Berlin stalled. Britain ( 14 Challenger 2 Tanks) and France both plan to send their own tanks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy bemoaned the “effort, words and promises” but lack, so far, of actual tanks.While the pledges so far fall far short of the 300 tanks that Ukraine has said it needs to make a difference against Russian forces on the battlefield, Germany’s announcement immediately prompted officials in Finland, the Netherlands and Spain to say that they would seek to send tanks to Ukraine, or were open to doing so.Ukraine’s allies have sought to strengthen its military without prompting Russia to further escalate the war, and some leaders had worried that battle tanks might cross that line.

3. The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, who adjust their symbolic Doomsday Clock to reflect how close humanity is to self-destructing, has moved it forward to 90 seconds before midnight.

It’s the closest the clock has ever been to striking 12 o’clock since its inception in 1947. The scientists pointed to the war in eastern Europe as a precipitating factor among a host of worries influencing the ticker

4.For those who came late, Hindenburg Research’s 10 points charges against Gautam Adani explained.Hindenburg Research, investment research firm published a report on Adani Group, headed by Gautam Adani, on Wednesday said that it is presenting evidence that the Group has engaged in a 'brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme over the course of decades.'
